Meet Ellie, a 7-pound, 8 year old rat terrier/chihuahua mix. Ellie came to us from an over-crowded shelter and has been enjoying the good life in her foster home. While there she has enjoyed time with several foster canine siblings. While Ellie gets along great with other dogs she really is more a people dog and enjoys spending time with her person. Give her a comfy spot next to you and she is perfectly happy and content. She may seem shy at first meeting, but quickly warms up and wants to be your cuddle bug.

Ellie has the very beginning of cataracts which makes her eyesight less than perfect. However, this doesn’t seem to affect her a bit.
