Shelter staff worked quickly to get this boy into rescue. They transferred him into Argos for emergency veterinary care. On Friday we thought we were going to lose him. He was an infected bloody mess.

The vets, techs, and volunteers we work with are dedicated to rescue work. They came into the vet clinic on their weekend off and without pay to care for Winchester.

It turns out that our Winchester is another gunshot victim. He also suffered vicious attacks and has numerous puncture wounds on most areas of his body that needed to be clipped and cleaned. He will heal.

Winchester is a trooper. He’s recovering nicely, and would love a forever home to relax and heal in.
