Hogan

Hogan

In 2011 Hogan was a sweet young pup adopted from a local shelter. I’m sure his adoptive family was overjoyed to add a little precious furball to their family and we think that Hugo was well loved.

Yesterday, February 26, 2026 Argos Rescue took in Hugo from the very same shelter that he had been adopted from 14 years ago.

The good news is that the shelter staff cares. They took the time to connect and call Argos Rescue for help with this old guy.

We don’t know the circumstances of Hugo’s surrender at the shelter and it would be unfair to guess.

At the request of the local shelter, Argos Rescue took Hugo in. Argos Rescues’ “Loved at Last” hospice program rescues many old dogs that would otherwise have been euthanized in our states public shelters.

Tonight, our newest and oldest gentle soul is surrounded with love, a warm and comfortable home to sleep in, plenty of delicious food, and the medicine he needs.

Hugo will live out the rest of his life in comfort and as pain free as we can manage for him.
