Milkshake is looking for her forever home …

A late-night call alerted us that a very pregnant 1-year old Border Collie was sitting in a local high-kill shelter, scheduled to be euthanized the next day—along with her unborn puppies.

Milkshake was transported early the next morning to the safety of an Argos foster home. Just two days later, Milkshake welcomed 8 healthy puppies into the world. (Puppies available for adoption)

Milkshake has done an incredible job raising her puppies, who are now 7 weeks old, but it’s time for this young mama to have a life of her own.

From her foster dad:
“This beautiful girl is very loving and affectionate. She loves to cuddle on the couch. She is amazing with kids and great with other dogs—but not a fan of farm birds!”

Milkshake thrives on companionship. She is almost fully house trained and continues to do great with routine and guidance. True to her breed, she’s smart, active, and eager to be part of her people’s daily life.
