Meet Nutmeg 🐾

Nutmeg is a 2-year-old, 14-pound shih tzu mix who came to us from a high-kill shelter in southeastern New Mexico. When he arrived, he was matted and underweight—but with good care and love, this little boy is already blossoming into the happy, vibrant pup he was meant to be.

Nutmeg loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He has a lively, active personality and a curious nature that makes him fun to be around. Currently in a foster home, Nutmeg is house trained and a perfect nighttime companion—he sleeps quietly through the night in his own bed.
