Ruger is a 6-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever who weighs in at a solid 100 pounds.

True to his Lab nature, Ruger is happy, friendly, and always up for playtime. He enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with people of all ages—he’s just one of those dogs who makes everyone smile.

Ruger came to Argos at the recommendation of local shelter personnel, who saw what a terrific dog he is and wanted him to have the best chance to thrive. He came to us with a skin irritation around his eyes that needed some care, but has no effect on his vision. Thanks to our awesome vets, he’s already beginning to heal and should recover completely.

Ruger is the kind of dog who will adapt into any lifestyle and become a loyal best friend.
